The Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations (PACDC) will partner with the Vote for Homes! Coalition to provide training for Community Development Corporations (CDC) to register constituencies to vote in preparation for the Primary Elections on May 19th. This event will take place Tuesday, April 7th from3pm-5pm in PACDC’s offices located at 1315 Walnut Street Suite 1600. Attendees will learn how to register voters, Get out the Vote (GOTV) strategies and voter rights.

In 2009, Mayor Nutter officially named April 16th Gay and Lesbian Latino AIDS Education Initiative (GALAEI) Day in Philadelphia. In honor of GALAEI Day, GALAEI would like to honor one adult and one youth with the 6th Annual David Acosta Revolutionary Leader Award (DARLA). The DARLA Award is presented to individuals who show leadership and work to improve the community in ways that align with GALAEI’s mission.
