Homestead Exemption Program Extends Deadline

The Office of Property Assessment has extended the application deadline for their Homestead Exemption program through Monday, December 1st. This program will offer real estate tax relief by reducing the taxable portion of a property by $30,000 dollars offering an average yearly saving of $402 dollars. Only primary residences are eligible for the Homestead Exemption program. Applicants are encourage to apply as early as possible so that saving can be reflected in their 2015 real estate tax bill.
