"Love Yourself" Cultural Enrichment Workshop hosted by Ridock King

This cultural enrichment workshop is for middle school age (10-14) Black and Latino males.

On Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 10AM-2PM, Joshua Keller and Mental Ambition, LLC will host a cultural enrichment workshop. This event will take place at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center located on 21st & Cecil B. Moore. This workshop will emphasize the important of self-love and self-esteem through cultural expression. Joshua will discuss African American history, hip-hop, community involvement and health and fitness.

UAC Program Partner Haitian Professionals of Philadelphia (HPP) will host Dine20 on Wednesday, February 18th from 5PM-10PM at the Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant in Chestnut Hill. Global Citizen/ MLK365 Neighbors in Action Community Leadership Workshops

Join us in hosting these workshops that are designed to help you, partner organizations, volunteer groups, and other community members come together and learn about how to engage different communities in service.

After the largest Martin Luther King Day of Service, Global Citizen is now preparing for their MLK365 program to continue to share opportunities for citizens to turn their concerns into action. As a part of this program, Global Citizen will host Neighbors in Action Leadership Workshops throughout the Spring and Summer. These workshops will show how to engage local communities, recruit volunteers and host service projects.

Campaign for Working Families Free Tax Sites Now Open

Visit one of our free tax sites! Receive an accurate refund fast and free. We provide tax preparation to families with incomes less than $53,00 and individuals with incomes less than $20,000.

From January 26 until April 15, Campaign for Working Families (CWF) will be opening free tax sites throughout the city. A total of 20 free tax sites, staffed by IRS certified community volunteers, will offer e-filing and direct deposit. In addition, these locations will provide options to purchase saving bonds and pre-paid debit cards, and screenings for public benefits.

Senior Expo Exhibit 2015 hosted by Representative Nick Miccarelli

On Thursday, February 5th at the Oak Ballroom in Glenolden, Pennsylvania from 11am-1pm, Representative Nick Miccarelli will host a Senior Expo Exhibit . The purpose of the expo is to provide citizens ages 55 and older with a forum to gather information important to their lives. Exhibitors will include local and state agencies, businesses, clubs and other organizations of interest to older residents.
