UAC Program Partner Teenshop Inc. empowers ‘girls with goals’® to become caring, courageous leaders and change agents in their communities and beyond. Teenshop Inc. is now accepting applications for Rising Senior Scholars, a two week college prep residential program at Bryn Mawr College from July 12th until July 15th. While at Bryn Mawr College, girls who are seniors in high school will attend workshops that cover topics such as leadership, SAT Prep, college essay writing and financial literacy.

Calling all poets, rappers, vocalists and lyricists! If you are between the ages of 10-18, we encourage you to showcase your talent at the 2015 PAAN Slam.

UAC Program Partner Philadelphia Anti-Drug/Anti-Violence Network (PAAN) will host their 2015 PAAN Slam on Wednesday, February 4th at the Pearl Movie Theater at 1600 N Broad. All poets, rappers, vocalists and lyricists ages 10-18 are welcome, however participants cannot use profanity, vulgar language or sexual explicit content. Those interested in performing must arrive at 3:30pm for auditions and material review.

Campaign for Working Families Free Tax Sites Now Open

Visit one of our free tax sites! Receive an accurate refund fast and free. We provide tax preparation to families with incomes less than $53,00 and individuals with incomes less than $20,000.

From January 26 until April 15, Campaign for Working Families (CWF) will be opening free tax sites throughout the city. A total of 20 free tax sites, staffed by IRS certified community volunteers, will offer e-filing and direct deposit. In addition, these locations will provide options to purchase saving bonds and pre-paid debit cards, and screenings for public benefits.
