The Hardy Williams Foundation (HWEF) is now offering scholarships to students in and around the Philadelphia area who embody the legacy of late, Honorable Hardy Wiliams, displaying leadership and a passion for change. High school, undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a career in law or social justice are encouraged to apply.

The Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations (PACDC) will partner with the Vote for Homes! Coalition to provide training for Community Development Corporations (CDC) to register constituencies to vote in preparation for the Primary Elections on May 19th. This event will take place Tuesday, April 7th from3pm-5pm in PACDC’s offices located at 1315 Walnut Street Suite 1600. Attendees will learn how to register voters, Get out the Vote (GOTV) strategies and voter rights.

Global Citizen/ MLK365 Neighbors in Action Community Leadership Workshops

Join us in hosting these workshops that are designed to help you, partner organizations, volunteer groups, and other community members come together and learn about how to engage different communities in service.

After the largest Martin Luther King Day of Service, Global Citizen is now preparing for their MLK365 program to continue to share opportunities for citizens to turn their concerns into action. As a part of this program, Global Citizen will host Neighbors in Action Leadership Workshops throughout the Spring and Summer. These workshops will show how to engage local communities, recruit volunteers and host service projects.

Discussion on the Global Significance of the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution

On Friday, August 23, 2013 the International Young Leaders Assembly (IYLA) will host “A Discussion on the Global Significance of the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution” at the National Constitution Center.  In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, the IYLA will visit several historic and significant monuments and participate in global forums in New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC during August 20-29.
