On Tuesday, May 14th, 2013, join Philadelphia-based risk management firm ResilienC and the Urban Affairs Coalition for the 2013 ResilienC Symposium!

This symposium is day-long “think tank” for new ideas on effectively building safer and innovative communities and preparing them for the future. Tuesday’s symposium will introduce research and program models for best practices in bettering our communities. Individuals will see the different methods other cities are using successfully and identify ways to achieve the same outcomes in their own neighborhoods.

UAC Hosts Workshop on Lending Circles

Attention all financial educators and organizations that promote financial stability, the Urban Affairs Coalition (UAC) will present a workshop and brown bag lunch on ROSCA Lending Circles, the practice that allows cohorts to lend to each other to help achieve their financial goals. The discussion, hosted by UAC’s Community and Economic Development department, Financial Education Subcommittee, will take place on Thursday, May 17, noon- 1:00 p.m., at the Urban Affairs Coalition (1207 Chestnut Street, 4th Floor).
