Our program partner X-Offenders for Community Empowerment (XCE) is having a forum on the upcoming May 2013 Primaries on Wednesday, May 15th, 2013. This will be an important conversation especially for people who have been formerly incarcerated and convicted.

XCE’s mission is to empower formerly convicted people to become agents of change in helping the community address important issues threatening a healthy family and community life. They aim to reduce recidivism by providing educational services as well as by advocating for issues that affect those who have been incarcerated.

Topics covered will include: what to do before you plan, choosing the right consultants, and how to get from planning to implementation. If your neighborhood is considering creating a revitalization plan this is the workshop for you!
