UAC's organization leaders have long been engaged in addressing the challenges and opportunities affecting their communities. Many are African-American men who not only serve as leaders, but also serve as mentors to younger generations.

Tools For Success, Inc. Career Camp 2017

Tools For Success, Inc. will be providing a FREE Career Camp for young men and women ages 13-18 beginning Monday, August 28, 2017- Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Howard Gittis Student Center at Temple University.

The purpose of this camp is to expose youth to various careers, give them hands on experience in those careers, help them make career connections and gain college exposure! The camp includes fun career activities, career exploration, opportunities for participants to connect with business professionals (i.e. actors, lawyers, doctors, fashion designers, engineers, muscians, and entrepreneurs) and a FREE Career & College tour!

Malik's Journey Foundation presents it's 1st annual Anti-Bullying Back 2 School Book bag give away event on Saturday August 26, 2017 at PennyPacker Elementary School from 1pm- 5pm.

Register your child by sending their name and what grade they will be attending in September. You can send this information to You must print out the number of tickets according to the number of names you send to the email address. Child must be present to receive their bookbag. Print out your ticket at the end and bring a copy with you to receive your childs bookbag.

Each year over 18,000 youth apply for summer jobs, but as a city we struggle to meet that need. In January 2015, UAC convened the Philadelphia Citizens' Summer Youth Employment Cabinet to advocate at all levels for full funding for summer youth employment and to illustrate the importance of summer youth employment to Philadelphia’s citizens and businesses.

2016 Youth Music Production & Recording Summer Camp

Weeklong 2016 Youth Music Production & Recording Summer Camp: immerse the youth in the world of audio engineering and music production!

This is a weeklong hands-on camp for the youth aged 12-17 years old. During the 11th through the 15th, participants will learn about topics such as mixing and audio effects through a fun, industry-relevant, and engaging way. Personal laptops and software are allowed, but not required. Includes one healthy daily snack: breakfast and lunch are not included.

Global Citizen is a non-profit organization dedicated to civic engagement among diverse groups through volunteering, education, community building, service learning, economic opportunity, leadership development and dialogue. Global Citizen brings together people of all ages and backgrounds through active citizenship and civic responsibility that result in breaking down barriers, building understanding, and fostering ongoing, diverse partnerships. Global Citizen Programs include the annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service and year-round MLK365. Issues of focus include poverty, homelessness, at-risk young people, race relations, public health, safety, digital inclusion, veterans, energy and the environment.
