Our program partner X-Offenders for Community Empowerment (XCE) is having a forum on the upcoming May 2013 Primaries on Wednesday, May 15th, 2013. This will be an important conversation especially for people who have been formerly incarcerated and convicted.

XCE’s mission is to empower formerly convicted people to become agents of change in helping the community address important issues threatening a healthy family and community life. They aim to reduce recidivism by providing educational services as well as by advocating for issues that affect those who have been incarcerated.

XCE hopes to inspire and influence community members with this upcoming forum. They want people to actively participate in elections and have their voice heard! XCE will be discussing current political and legal problems those formerly incarcerated are facing.

Come out and have your questions ready!

The event will take place from 6pm-8pm at the African American United Fund located on 2231 North Broad Street. For additional information please contact Wayne Jacobs at (215)-668-8477 or
