The
Black Writers Museum is hosting an upcoming "People's Poetry and Jazz
Festival" (PPJF) 2016, to take place on Saturday, August 20th, in beautiful Vernon Park.
This free community festival features a live concert by jazz great and
multi-Grammy winner, Stanley Clarke. Known for his epic Hollywood movie
soundtracks, and the internationally recognized "Return to Forever"
album with Chick Korea and Al DiMeola, Clarke is a native of Philadelphia, and
will celebrate the 40th anniversary of one of his earliest albums, "School
Days." Stanley has agreed to cut short his European tour to come to
Philadelphia.
Please join The Black Writers Museum in making this FREE festival and
celebration one that will help to maintain a healthy thriving and
"electric" Philadelphia community.
Please contact Supreme D. Dow if you have any questions.
