Local Nonprofits, Urban Affairs Coalition and Greater Philadelphia Cares, Honored by Brookside Foods in Charity Tour

Brookside Foods is rewarding hardworking, charitable individuals and organizations in a U.S. coast-to-coast tour where Brookside “Super Agents” will present the gift of chocolates and donations to those who make a difference in their communities. The Brookside Van will be in Philadelphia October 5-6 to reward volunteers at Urban Affairs Coalition and Greater Philadelphia Cares

WHAT: As part of its “Giving Back With Chocolate” nationwide charity tour, Brookside Foods (www.brooksidefoods.com) is rewarding the passionate volunteers & employees of two local Philadelphia nonprofits – the Urban Affairs Coalition and Greater Philadelphia Cares.

Brookside will provide donations to the Urban Affairs Coalition to help purchase computers for residents in need on Oct. 5. Brookside will also volunteer with Greater Philadelphia Cares (http://www.philacares.com) at their food bank, distributing food, and will reward the volunteers at Greater Philadelphia Cares with a donation to the Coalition and chocolates for the volunteers to enjoy. 

The Urban Affairs Coalition is one of the Philadelphia region’s leading nonprofit agencies, acting as a fiscal sponsor to 75 community-based organizations that serve 100,000 people each year. Greater Philadelphia Cares is a leading local volunteer organization, motivating people to volunteer in their communities. 

WHEN: Wednesday, October 5, 2011 – Thursday, October 6, 2011

Wed. Oct. 5, the Brookside Super Agent Van will stop at the Urban Affairs Coalition (1207 Chestnut St, Philadelphia) to make a donation from 10:00am to 12 Noon.

Wed., Oct. 5, Brookside will donate, reward volunteers and help distribute food with Greater Philadelphia Cares (100 S Broad St # 2200) from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
