On Friday, June 6, UAC Program Partner the Philadelphia Anti-Drug/Anti-Violence Network (PAAN) hosted the My Brother's Keeper Leadership Forum. Mayor Michael Nutter, the My Brother's Keeper's Task Force, and other nonprofit organizations came together to discuss launching the initiative in Philadelphia. My Brother's Keeper is an initiative started by President Barack Obama to help bridge the opportunity gap for young men of color. This initiative will benefit young men of color by ensuring that they have access to basic health, nutrition, and high-quality early education. The My Brother's Keeper Task Force will partner with communities and police to reduce violence and help young men stay in school.

For over 20 years PAAN has worked relentlessly to promote community safety through the reduction of drug abuse and violence and through implemeting programs that prevent juvenile deliquency. For more information about PAAN, please visit www.paan1989.org.
