UAC Communications Intern Files 2015 Taxes for Free with UAC Program Partner Campaign for Working Families

Date:
February 10, 2015

On Saturday, January 31, 2015, UAC Communications Intern Angelica Whetstone filed her taxes for free with UAC Program Partner, Campaign for Working Families (CWF). As a work-study student at Peirce College, Angelica wanted to take advantage of the option to maximize her tax refund, so she selected Campaign for Working Families to file her 2015 tax refund. She was happy to share her experience with us.

"What I loved most about filing my taxes with Campaign for Working Families is that I received the maximum amount of my refund. As a work-study student, my individual income is less than $20,000, so I was elated to hear that Campaign for Working Families was able to help me file my taxes for free. The Campaign for Working Families tax site is conveniently located within UAC's office site, so I did not have to travel far. I was welcomed with a smile and had my application reviewed within 15 minutes.”

We love to hear stories like these from our Program Partners. It reinforces UAC's priority of building wealth through strategic partnerships. Through Campaign for Working Families, Angelica was able to receive an accurate full refund of her 2015 taxes fast and for free.

In addition to the Campaign for Working Families Center City Super Site at Urban Affairs Coalition, they have 20 other sites throughout Philadelphia. Visit their website to find a site near you.
