Did you know that the Urban Affairs Coalition has played an important role in some of the largest and most important construction projects in the region and beyond? For more than 25 years, UAC's Economic Development Projects department has helped companies and government develop inclusion plans to contract with and purchase from Minority, Women, Disabled, and Local Business Enterprises (M/W/DS/LBE); as well as report on their impact.  Past projects have included the Comcast Center, University of Pennsylvania and the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation.

Most recently, EDP worked with the Barnes Foundation to help them meet their diversity inclusion goals for their new building project. EDP has an  expertise in art museum construction projects, a highly specialized field with custom design and materials;  HVAC requirements; and other practices designed to protect invaluable works of art. EDP previously worked on the Philadelphia Museum of Art's expansion project.

"Our clients understand the economic impact of their projects and want to see the benefit of that impact felt throughout their local community," said Beverly Woods, Director of UAC's Economic Opportunity Division. "We are grateful to the Barnes for allowing us to be a part of bringing this incredible, world-class collection of art to Philadelphia."
