Philly Civics Action is a community engagement initiative sponsored by UAC, YIP and the Philadelphia DNC Host Committee asking Philadelphians to answer the question “What will be the legacy of the Democratic National Convention on civic engagement in the City of Philadelphia?”

Starting July 16th at Philadelphia Runner in West Philly and later that day in Fairmount outside of the Bastille Day celebration at Eastern State Penitentiary, residents will be invited to pen their civic notions, cultivating a national conversation on sticker prompts. These stickers will be collected and applied to a replica LOVE statue, creating a living wall of memories, ideas, and dialogue. The completed installation will be 5-feet tall and displayed inside Philadelphia’s City Hall after the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

The Democratic National Convention will take place July 25-28, 2016 in Philadelphia.

“We invite Philadelphians to proudly build on the forward-thinking legacy that our nation’s founders drafted here, via a modern civic dialogue that can drive change in our communities, our nation, and the world.”

- Kevin Washo, Executive Director of the Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee
