UAC Program Partner Campaign For Working Families Featured in Philadelphia Generocity for Helping Philadelphia's Low-Income Residents Get Their Taxes Done For Free

On February 13, 2015, UAC Program Partner Campaign for Working Families (CWF) was featured on Philadelphia Generocity for helping Philadelphia's low-income residents get their taxes done for free. Last year, CWF helped people file nearly 18,000 tax returns and helped people receive $8.8 million in Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Campaign for Working Families continues to operate from 20 community-based tax sites, helping low-income families receive an accurate refund fast and free. CWF provides tax preparation to families with incomes less than $53,000 and individuals with incomes less than $20,000. In addition to free tax preparation, CWF offers these additional services:

  • SNAP and LIHEAP benefits
  •  Medical and CHIP benefits
  • Savings Bonds
  • Prepaid debit cards for direct deposit of tax refund and payroll check
