Urban Affairs Coalition Launches New Website

New site includes jobs listings and career resources

Job seekers might want to visit the Urban Affairs Coalition's (UAC) new website. The site wwww.uac.org, which launched today, features an extensive Job Opportunities and Career Resources section as well as a directory of services offered by UAC and its partner organizations, including free computer training, financial education workshops, resources for entrepreneurs, and free tax preparation services.

UAC is a nonprofit that unites government, business, communities and individuals to improve the quality of life in the Philadelphia region. "We wanted our new site to be a resource for people in communities to help them learn, earn, work, and live better lives," said Sharmain Matlock-Turner, President and CEO of the Urban Affairs Coalition. "As A Home for Nonprofits we also wanted to better market our back office Fiscal Sponsorship and Shared Services that help emerging and established organizations save time, money and help them grow.

Until September 30th, visitors can also go to the site to enter to win a free Kindle.

Features of the new site include:

  • An Online Directory of UAC partner organizations' services in communities
  • A Community Resources Directory that includes such important helpful resources as Foreclosure Prevention programs, Low Interest Home Loans, and opportunities for minority-owned businesses

  • An Events Calendar detailing UAC and partner events citywide
